Payslate: Invoice Maker
Delete your account or your data
Payslate: Invoice Maker, published by Shivaraj Bakale. Last updated 22 August 2026.
In short
Your invoices, clients and receipts are stored on your phone, not on our servers. Deleting your account removes the Firebase sign-in record we hold; uninstalling the app removes the books themselves. Both steps are described below, and either can be done without the other.
Option 1 — delete it in the app
This is immediate and needs no email. In Payslate:
- Open the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read the confirmation, then tap Delete account again. You may be asked to sign in once more, because your provider requires a recent sign-in before an account can be removed.
The account and everything on the phone are gone when the app returns you to the sign-in screen. There is no undo and no recovery period.
Option 2 — ask us by email
Use this if you have already uninstalled the app, lost the device, or cannot sign in.
- Email shivarajapple@gmail.com from the address you signed in with.
- Put Payslate account deletion in the subject line.
- Say which sign-in method you used — Apple or Google.
We verify the request came from the account address, delete the account within 30 days, and email you when it is done. If you use Sign in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, write from the relay address Apple gave you — that is the address on the account.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes the Firebase Authentication record we hold about you:
- your user id;
- the email address supplied by Apple or Google;
- the display name, where the provider supplied one;
- the sign-in metadata Firebase keeps against the account, including creation and last-sign-in timestamps.
Deleting in the app also wipes the local database on that phone in the same step — clients, invoices, estimates, payments, expenses, receipt photos, your business profile and logo, saved line items, tax rates and numbering settings. Nothing of it survives on the device.
If you delete by email instead, the local data stays on your phone until you uninstall the app or clear its storage. We cannot reach it, and we cannot delete it for you.
What is kept, and for how long
- Analytics events — anonymous records of the shape of activity, such as "an invoice was created with three line items". They carry no client name, business name, document number, note, receipt or amount of money, and they are not linked to a deleted account once its user id is gone. Google Analytics for Firebase expires them automatically after 14 months.
- Email correspondence — if you wrote to us to request deletion, the message thread is kept for up to 12 months as a record that the request was made and honoured.
- PDFs and CSV files you exported — these were saved wherever you shared them: your own mail, your messaging apps, your accountant's inbox. They are outside the app and are not affected by deletion.
We keep no backups, no server-side copy of your books, and no shadow profile after an account is removed. There is no additional retention period on the account record itself: it is deleted, not deactivated.
Delete your data without deleting your account
You do not have to close your account to get rid of your records. Every piece of data Payslate holds is on your phone and under your direct control.
One record at a time
- Open the client, invoice, estimate, payment or expense you want gone.
- Use Delete on that record.
- Confirm. The record is removed from the device immediately.
Everything at once, keeping your account
- On Android, open Settings › Apps › Payslate › Storage.
- Tap Clear storage. On iOS, offload or delete the app.
This deletes every client, invoice, estimate, payment, expense, receipt photo, saved item, tax rate and business detail on the device. Your account stays, and signing in again gives you an empty app. Nothing here needs to be requested from us — we hold no copy of any of it, so there is nothing on our side to delete and no retention period to wait out.
If you would rather we removed the account record too, use the account deletion steps above. To ask a question about either, email shivarajapple@gmail.com .
Before you delete
If you need your records for tax or bookkeeping, export them first: Settings → Export for accountant writes your invoices, payments and expenses to CSV files you can send to yourself or your accountant. Individual invoices can also be shared as PDFs from the invoice screen. Once the account and the local database are gone, we cannot reproduce either.
